Big 12?

Ok first of all i just want to say that these views do reflect views of other people besides myself. I just want to as a question to everyone who will read this post, what is the freaking big deal with the Big 12 conference? I dont see where everybody gets off thinking that they are the power conference in college football. That is crap man. I know that the teams in the Big 12 had great records and all of their games were exciting. Did anyone ever think about why the games were so exciting? Its because the teams playing scored 30-40 points against each other and they were all offensive games. Thus saying the Big 12 talent on defense sucks big time. If you are looking for excitment then by all means watch the Big 12, but if you are looking for hard nosed both sides of the ball football look at the SEC, Big 10, and Big East. These three conferences have some of the best teams in the land. I didnt mention the Pac-10 because the are a one team conference, USC. They have at least one team the competes with them and the rest are awful. Anyway to get back on subject, The Big 12 does not have the overall team defense that the conferences above has. Now just to say something for the bowl records this year. The Big 12 did pretty well, the other conferences did alright. I will give the Big Ten credit though because they were matched up with some of the best teams, according to the AP and coaches polls this season. Teams like Northwestern, Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State faced some of the best teams and highest scoring teams in the nation. Northwestern should have won against a sloppy missouri team with a player in Chase Daniel who totally ruined his draft status. Michigan State held Georgia to one of their lowest scoring games of the season. Penn State was one of the more disappointing Big Ten school when they got dismantled by USC who I still think is overrated in every single poll. Ohio State faced Texas and showed how the Big Ten physicality was something that Texas should yearn for. Texas got pounded against the wall and even had to have some luck to get them the last second win against the Buckeyes. Then the Big 12 champs, Oklahoma with Heisman trophy winner, Sam Bradford, headed to Miami and got roughed up by Florida out of the SEC. Florida showed that they HAD a defense and were able to keep Bradford and the high-flying offense of Oklahoma in check, and show that not just offense wins championships. In conclusion of this post, I am fed up with the talk and support and overrating of the Big 12(and USC but i'll get to that one in a later blog). Note to Big 12 teams, get some defense and then we'll talk about you winning a championship unanimously.
